If I Had Wings of the Eagles

She soars through life

almost motion lest

Gliding to and fro

to care for her young

near by.

Reaching the highest heights

to meet her mate and

together they sweep

and embrace  the swift

cool skies

Gliding swiftly ore hills and valleys

In search of prey or play,

only to return again

to fledglings

In her nest

Oh that God would

Grant me wings so I could

 travel far and wide

Maybe in this searching

I would find my Quest

Above the Earth that holds me

From following my hearts cry.

Yet within my mind  and soul

I too have learned to fly
